Mission and Purpose Statement

Badges of Ashe was established to lend support to law enforcement officers, staff, and their families of Ashe County.

It is through this collaboration of members, volunteers, sponsors & donors that we will carry out our purpose. All funds raised by Badges of Ashe will fund projects that are directly related to the entities mentioned above.

About Our Mission:

The organization operates exclusively as a voluntary non-profit organization operating under federal and state 501 (C) (3) regulatory guidelines AND in compliance with a full governing board of directors.

We foster and encourage public support for the program of services to Ashe County law enforcement entities by soliciting and encouraging gifts, endowments, and memorials for Law Enforcement Entities within Ashe County. By providing funds to purchase equipment, necessities, promoting programs and projects not fully funded or budgeted by County or City Governments within Ashe County.

Through the help of volunteers, we communicate to the community the needs of our Public Service entities. As part of our goal we aim to provide direct financial assistance such as, the purchase of items and/or equipment beneficial to these agencies. Our plan is to enhance direct departmental support of those serving the various communities of the county.

Badges of Ashe Board of Directors and members purposes are to promote civic spirit in support of law enforcement, enhancing public relations and awareness through education and concerning safety issues as well as supporting and enhancing the services provided by those in law enforcement. These objectives are often carried out through events, fundraising, membership, networking, and donations from both the public and private sector.

Badges of Ashe will continue providing funds for programs and equipment in furtherance of the Badges of Ashe purpose and to enhance educational abilities of those aforementioned. An example of support will be; K9 units, youth programs, patrol vehicles, specialty equipment, training, simulators, bullet proof vests, and employee empowerment programs and other programs and projects as they arise.

Community Support is key in the continuation of safety and security for all that live and pass through Ashe County.
